GET REAL: The My HIVE AI Open Road Tour | Mitch Mitchem
The My HIVE AI Open Road Tour · A Full-Year Adventure · Kicks Off August 2026

GET REAL.

What makes the road unforgettable? We're going to teach an AI avatar to remember.

This August, our family is getting into an RV and taking off from Colorado to Tennessee the long way. And Tennessee is only the first leg. Me, my wife Diana, and our four-year-old son Luke, on a full-year odyssey. Thousands of miles. Campgrounds, state parks, RV businesses, manufacturers, destinations, and people across America.

Riding shotgun is My HIVE AI, our new avatar app built around something artificial intelligence rarely has: real lived human experience.

This tour is a collision, on purpose. AI, any AI, can be a brilliant tool, even a vision. But the human element is what's critical. So we're driving the two straight into each other for a full year: real face-to-face connection at every stop, and an avatar riding shotgun learning from all of it. Every campground, hidden destination, mechanical problem, family moment, wrong turn, and campfire conversation becomes part of an evolving AI avatar built during the journey.

By the time we reach Tennessee, we will have created an entirely new kind of RV companion. Not an AI trained on websites and reviews. An AI shaped by the road itself, and by the humans we meet along it. Because that's the whole point: the machine gets smarter, but the people are the power.

The Wake-Up

America isn't burned out.
It's frozen.

Everyone in this country can feel it. They can't name it, but they feel it. Committees that take six months to say maybe. Jobs where nobody's allowed to decide anything. Kids trapped in devices, adults trapped in mediocrity, young people staring at a dead job market wondering why every grown-up they meet seems switched off. That's not burnout. Burnout means you were on fire once. This is frozen, whole rooms of people surviving in place.

And here's the diagnosis under the diagnosis: we are drowning in knowledge and starving for lived experience. Every answer is one search away, and somehow nobody feels more alive. That is the freeze. And it is the exact same flaw sitting inside artificial intelligence. AI knows everything and has lived nothing. It can hand you language. It cannot feel stuck, and it cannot feel free.

Thawing a freeze takes something physical. A human walks into the room and breaks the pattern, and suddenly everyone remembers they're alive. So this August we're doing both at once. We're taking the thaw on the road, and we're bringing the machine with us to teach it the one thing it's missing: a life. One family, fully alive, feeding real lived experience into an AI avatar, mile by mile.

The family drives. The avatar learns. The RV world rides along.

Making AI Useful

What happens when an AI avatar
actually lives the RV experience?

People keep telling us the same thing: the techiness of AI makes it hard to see how it works in real-world, human life. Fair. So instead of another tutorial, we are giving it a life.

Most travel technology begins with information. Campground directories, maps, reservation links, reviews, travel articles, and destination lists.

That information is useful, but it cannot tell you what it feels like to pull into a campground after dark with a tired four-year-old. It does not know which site is easiest for a larger rig, which grocery store is actually convenient, which local attraction is worth the detour, or which campground host gave you the advice that saved the day.

It knows information. It does not know the experience.

During the My HIVE AI Open Road Tour, we will build an avatar that learns from RV travel while it happens. The road will become its memory. The RV community will become its teachers. Every mile will make it more useful, so an infinite number of future road-warriors can select campgrounds, explore destinations, fix mechanical problems, and make meaningful memories of their own.

The App

My HIVE AI

My HIVE AI allows people, families, companies, destinations, campgrounds, and organizations to create intelligent avatars shaped by real knowledge, personality, context, and human experience.

These are not generic chatbots wearing a photograph. They are evolving guides designed around the people, places, organizations, and experiences that create them.

A campground could build an avatar that knows its property, local attractions, policies, hidden details, and personality. An RV manufacturer could create an intelligent owner companion that understands a coach, its systems, maintenance needs, and common questions. A destination could create a guide shaped by locals instead of generic internet results. A family could preserve its travels, lessons, preferences, memories, and road wisdom in one evolving place. And all along the tour, we will be welcoming others to create their own.

The technology processes knowledge. Humans provide the wisdom.

The Road Avatar

Built mile by mile.

At the beginning of the tour, the My HIVE AI road avatar will know only what we teach it before departure. Then the journey begins, and it archives every mile and every interaction, remembering the face-to-face connections at every stop, evolving throughout the entire journey.

Every campground, ranger recommendation, service issue, route decision, local discovery, campsite, owner conversation, manufacturer visit, family lesson, and campfire story will add to its understanding.

People following the tour will be able to ask where we stayed, what worked, what failed, which destinations were worth the drive, what we learned about traveling with a child, what experienced RV owners told us, and where the greatest friction exists in the modern RV experience.

The answers will not come from a generic search. They will come from the journey.

And Tennessee is not the finish line. It is chapter one. The avatar keeps learning, stop after stop, campfire after campfire, for a full year on the road.

This is how we believe AI should be built. Not instead of human experience. From it.

Why The RV World

Because RV travel is one of the
most human experiences left.

The RV industry does not simply sell vehicles and campsites. It sells freedom, family time, independence, adventure, community, and the ability to experience life beyond the routines that keep people stuck. It is where a frozen country goes to thaw out.

But RV travel also contains friction. Choosing the right coach. Learning the systems. Planning routes. Booking campgrounds. Managing connectivity. Understanding power, plumbing, slides, leveling, appliances, and maintenance. Finding reliable service. Knowing which advice to trust. Traveling with children while trying to work from the road.

The industry holds an extraordinary amount of knowledge, but that knowledge is scattered across manuals, websites, videos, forums, dealerships, service centers, campground teams, and experienced owners. My HIVE AI can help make that knowledge easier to access without removing the people and experiences that make the road matter.

People are going back to the fire, back to each other. The camping world is calling 2026 the Open Road Era, and they're right. AI is becoming electricity, embedded in everything, and Luke will grow up thinking talking to an intelligent system is normal. So the question is no longer whether AI is coming. It's here. The real question is what it learns from, and who it amplifies. That's the fight. That's the road.

Our Family

We are putting ourselves
inside the experiment.

I will lead the storytelling, speaking, AI demonstrations, and conversations across the country. Diana, my wife, my business partner, the rock of all of it, will manage the journey, partnerships, operations, app coordination, and the countless details required to move both a family and a company across America.

Luke, four years old, will provide the most honest user test imaginable.

This will not be a carefully staged commercial. It will be a real family living, working, traveling, learning, solving problems, and building an AI avatar from the experience. (Yes, life on the road in an RV with a four-year-old. We know exactly what we signed up for. That's half the show.)

There will be great days. There will be wrong turns. There will be breakdowns. There will be campfires. That is the point.

AI becomes useful when it understands life as it is actually lived. In late August, after our 18-year-old goes off to college, we roll out of Colorado and take the long way to Tennessee, on purpose, in America's 250th year. Tennessee is where we plant the flag, not where we park. From there the adventure keeps rolling, a full year of it. The south is my roots. This is a family going home the long way, and inviting the whole country to ride along.

The Road

What happens out there

Real people. Real places. Real knowledge. At campgrounds, rallies, dealerships, manufacturers, destinations, and RV businesses, we will document what the modern road experience really looks like. We will ask people what works, what does not, what they wish they had known, what almost made them quit, what keeps them traveling, and what technology should make easier.

The road avatar, built mile by mile

Riding shotgun in My HIVE AI is the big one: an avatar trained on the road itself. Every campground, every ranger tip, every wrong turn and hidden gem along the whole route becomes its memory. By Tennessee, it's the definitive AI companion for RV life, built where RV life actually happens, not in an office. The human drives, the AI amplifies.

Live avatar builds at selected stops

At selected stops, we will demonstrate how a campground, destination, dealership, manufacturer, or organization can build its own My HIVE AI avatar. A campground avatar guiding guests before and during their stay. A manufacturer avatar helping owners understand their coach. A dealership avatar supporting customers after the sale. A mechanic's avatar walking a stranded traveler through a tire change or an oil check. An adventure guide's avatar opening the world of excursions along the way. We build these ideas where they are meant to live. In the real world, in front of the room.

Campfire conversations, recorded nightly

The best knowledge is often never written down. People across the RV world gather around campfires and share the kind of wisdom that never reaches an owner's manual. What should every new RV owner know? What almost made you give up? What keeps you traveling? What should technology never replace? Those conversations shape the tour, and they feed the avatar riding with us.

The RV Experience Friction Audit

For the entire route, we are living the full RV customer journey: researching, choosing a coach, learning the systems, planning, reserving, arriving, setting up, connecting, troubleshooting, working, and traveling with a child. We will document where the experience feels intuitive and where unnecessary friction creates stress, wasted time, and lost trust. Partner manufacturers and campgrounds get the exclusive findings. The purpose is not to criticize the industry. It is to make the experience better for the next family.

The Live Experience: The Human Element meets the Open Road

At selected stops, I will deliver live presentations and My HIVE AI showcases for RV companies, campgrounds, dealerships, destinations, associations, conferences, and forward-thinking businesses on the route. The full talk, the one that usually runs $35K+, deeply discounted on this promo tour only. The message is simple: use the machine, do not become one. Put me on a stage and in a room, I'll take care of the heat.

For The RV World

Every corner of the road
gets a voice.

The avatar we build on the road is the proof. Here is where it goes to work. And this is just a sampling. The possibilities are endless.

01 · Campgrounds

Give your property a real voice

A campground is more than a list of amenities. It has a personality, a history, a community, and details only the owners and staff truly know. A My HIVE AI campground avatar helps guests select the right site, prepare for arrival, discover local attractions, and find family activities, without losing the hospitality that makes the campground special. Selected campground partners along the route will help us demonstrate what that experience becomes.

02 · Manufacturers

Turn the owner's manual into an intelligent relationship

Modern RVs contain complex systems, and new owners are handed a stack of manuals before turning to search engines and online groups for help. Imagine instead that every owner had an avatar trained around their coach: the model, the installed systems, the maintenance schedule, troubleshooting, warranty, and the owner's own travel history. That is more than customer support. It is an ongoing relationship between the manufacturer, the owner, and the product.

Build it with us →
03 · Dealerships

Support the customer long after the sale

The sale is the start of the relationship, not the end of it. A dealership avatar answers the 10 p.m. questions, re-runs the walkthrough the owner forgot by Tuesday, helps schedule service, and keeps your store riding along in the rig long after it leaves the lot. That is how a buyer becomes a customer for life.

Build yours →
04 · Mechanics & Service

Put a master tech in every rig

A flat tire at a trailhead. A warning light two hundred miles from the nearest service bay. A mechanic's avatar can walk a traveler through changing an RV tire, checking the oil, and the fixes that get a family back on the road, in plain language, at the exact moment they need it. Wisdom from the shop, riding shotgun in every coach.

Share your know-how →
05 · Destinations & Guides

Open the world of excursions

RV travelers experience places differently. Road access, parking, rig size, fuel, weather, local restrictions. A destination or adventure guide avatar shaped by real local knowledge helps travelers find the hikes, the water, the outfitters, and the excursions worth the detour, and gives more people the confidence to get out into the great outdoors. During the tour, selected destinations and guides get to build exactly that.

Claim your city →
06 · RV Owners & Travelers

Your coach. Your travels. Your avatar.

Imagine an avatar that remembers your RV model, equipment, maintenance history, favorite routes, preferred campgrounds, family travel style, past repairs, and the lessons you learned the hard way. Over time, it becomes more than a travel assistant. It becomes the memory of your life on the road. And you do not have to wait for ours: create your own avatar and document your own adventure, mile by mile. That is the future we want to build with the RV community.

The Proof

The road is new.
The work is not.

"Mitch delivered a compelling keynote focused on AI and amplifying human potential, reinforcing that technology should enhance, not replace, the people driving our industry forward."

Jeremy Johnson · Lightspeed · Keynote Sponsor

In March 2026, I keynoted the RV Industry Association Leadership Conference at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort in Austin, Texas, sponsored by Lightspeed. The room was senior executives from RV manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, and campgrounds. The exact world this tour is about to drive through. It was that trip, those industry people, and my wife and son beside me, that started this whole idea. Austin was the beginning. The road is where we prove it.

RVIA Leadership Conference. Austin, Texas. March 2026.

The message on that stage is the exact message this tour carries: AI is not a replacement for people, it is an accelerator. Amplify, Not Automate. The industry heard it, and the industry's own trade press covered it. RVBusiness, RV PRO, and Modern Campground all ran the story, reaching both halves of this world, the rigs and the parks. And now the tour itself is making news: Toy Storage Nation covered the launch in July 2026.

And for context on the caliber of that stage: the same event featured a leadership panel with the CEOs of Kampgrounds of America, Patrick Industries, and Camping World. That is the company this message keeps inside this industry.

Follow The Journey

Ride along
from anywhere.

The entire year will be documented. The preparations, the RV, the route, the campground stays, the people, the problems, the demonstrations, the family moments, the campfires, and the evolution of the road avatar.

Through My HIVE AI, followers will be able to ask questions about the tour, discover the places we have visited, learn from the people we meet, and watch the avatar become more useful with every mile.

This will be AI development in public. Not built from a laboratory. Built from a life. And the end result is the whole point: more people exploring the great outdoors in their own ways, using others' avatars to guide them, and creating their own avatars to document their own journeys.

Get Real

The road begins in August.

One family. One RV. One new AI avatar app. One full year of real experience. We are going to meet the RV world where it lives. At the dealership. Inside the factory. At the campground. On the highway. Around the fire. We will listen. We will learn. We will build. And when we reach Tennessee, the avatar riding with us will know something no generic AI system can know: what the road actually felt like.
